4. Text Messaging (SMS) and Mobile Information
This section describes how we handle mobile phone numbers and text messaging consent. It applies in addition to, and controls over, any other section of this policy regarding mobile data.
4.1 Consent
We send text messages only to individuals who have given us prior express consent, or who have contacted us by text first. You may give consent by checking the SMS consent box on a form on our website, by giving verbal consent to our office staff or technician during a call or appointment, by signing a service agreement that includes SMS consent, or by texting us first at one of our published numbers.
Consent to receive text messages is never required to receive service from us or as a condition of any purchase.
4.2 Types of Messages
Depending on which consent you provided, you may receive:
- Service and transactional messages: appointment confirmations and reminders, technician dispatch and arrival notices, scheduling changes, quotes, invoices, payment confirmations, warranty information, and replies to questions you have asked us.
- Marketing messages: special offers, seasonal maintenance reminders, and requests to leave a review. These are sent only to customers who separately opted in to marketing messages.
4.3 Frequency, Rates, and Support
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4.4 Opting Out
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further texts in that program. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (469) 772-5766 or info@pounceplumbing.com. Opting out of text messages does not opt you out of phone calls or email, and does not affect your ability to receive service.
4.5 Mobile Information Sharing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service providers, dispatch software, and messaging platforms acting on our behalf, is permitted. All other categories described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
4.6 Records of Consent
We maintain records of SMS consent, including the date and time consent was given, the method of consent, and the language you were shown. We retain these records for as long as you remain opted in and for at least four years after opt-out.
5. Phone Calls and Recording
We may record or monitor inbound and outbound telephone calls for quality assurance, training, dispatch accuracy, and dispute resolution. Where we record, you will be notified at the start of the call. If you do not wish to be recorded, tell the representative and we will offer an alternative, or you may communicate with us by email or text instead. Call recordings are retained for 12 months unless needed longer for a claim or legal matter.
6. Email Communications
We send transactional emails (confirmations, estimates, invoices, receipts) to customers as part of providing service. We send marketing emails only to people who have opted in or who are existing customers, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from marketing email does not stop transactional email related to an active job.
7. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data for money, and we do not sell sensitive personal data under any circumstances. We share information only as described below.
- Service providers and subcontractors. We use third parties to run our business, including scheduling and dispatch software, customer relationship management systems, phone and text messaging platforms, payment processors, accounting and bookkeeping services, cloud hosting, email delivery, website analytics, and review request platforms. They may access your information only to perform services for us and are contractually restricted from using it for their own purposes.
- Licensed subcontractors and suppliers. Where a job requires a specialty trade (for example, excavation, concrete, drywall repair, or slab leak detection), we may share your name, service address, phone number, and a description of the work with the subcontractor performing it.
- Municipal and regulatory authorities. We share the information required to pull permits, schedule inspections, and satisfy the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners and local code officials.
- Home warranty companies, insurers, property managers, and referral partners. If your job was arranged through one of these parties, we share job details, findings, photos, and invoices with them as needed to complete and get paid for the work.
- Business transfers. If Pounce Plumbing is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets, customer information may be transferred to the successor entity as part of that transaction. Any successor will be bound by this Privacy Policy with respect to information transferred, unless and until you are given notice of a change and an opportunity to opt out. Text messaging opt-in data will not be sold or transferred to any party for marketing or promotional purposes.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or regulatory request, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pounce Plumbing, our customers, our employees, or the public, or to investigate fraud or collect a debt.
- With your direction. We share information with anyone you ask us to, such as a spouse, tenant, landlord, or contractor coordinating the job.
8. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. These fall into three categories:
- Strictly necessary: required for the site to function, including form submission and security. These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics: help us understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it.
- Advertising: allow us and our advertising partners to show you relevant ads on other sites and measure whether our ads worked.
You can control cookies through your browser settings and through the cookie banner on our site. Disabling analytics or advertising cookies will not affect your ability to request or receive service.
Universal opt-out signals. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and other recognized universal opt-out mechanisms as a request to opt out of targeted advertising and any sharing of personal data for that purpose.
9. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Regardless of where you live, you may:
- Ask us what information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.

Pounce Plumbing may qualify as a small business under U.S. Small Business Administration standards, in which case some TDPSA obligations may not apply to us. Regardless, we will not sell sensitive personal data without your consent, and we will honor the requests described above as a matter of policy.

We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a lower quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.
10. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected and to meet our legal obligations:
- Service and warranty records: 10 years, to support workmanship warranties and any claims relating to work performed on a property.
- Invoices, payment records, and tax records: 7 years.
- SMS consent and opt-out records: duration of the relationship plus at least 4 years.
- Call recordings: 12 months.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
11. How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the size of our business, including access controls limiting customer data to employees who need it, encryption of data in transit, multi-factor authentication on our business systems, vendor agreements requiring confidentiality, and a payment processor that keeps full card data off our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us at info@pounceplumbing.com and we will delete it.
13. Third-Party Websites
Our site may link to third-party websites, including review platforms, financing providers, and manufacturer warranty pages. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above.
